Denim is the thread that timelessly and continually weaves through our lives, year after year. No matter the style, few things are as enduring as denim. See how women from different age groups rock their denim picks and let their unique sense of style shine through.

What drew you to fashion?
As a kid, I read Seventeen magazine all the time. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked!

Shateria Moragne-El, Fatima, Chrissy Ford, and Monica Rose
What do you think is timeless about Lucky Brand jeans?
Lucky Brand has true authenticity that makes our jeans so easy to wear and utterly timeless.
What’s your peak denim moment?
Definitely when I started my career here at Lucky Brand!
What’s your denim regret?
Blue jean boots—which are jeans, that are also boots—hands down. I believe Rihanna was photographed in some a few years back!
Why do you think denim keeps coming back?
Denim is so timeless. It constantly changes and adapts to the needs of its wearer, no matter what decade it is!

What drew you to fashion?
I grew up in the 90s and remember all the supermodels. I was a dork and drew Cindy Crawford and Claudia in her Guess Marciano ads from their magazine spreads. Also, my mother’s family had a textile factory in France, so I  knew I wanted to be involved in the industry.
Who have been some of your style icons over the years?
I love Erin Wasson and Marissa Webb’s style. They have an incredibly effortless masculine energy that I am drawn too.  As a teenager, I always borrowed from my dad’s closet as much as my mom’s. And of course, Bianca Jagger, but I’d most definitely steal some skinny jeans from Mick!
What do you think is timeless about Lucky Brand jeans?
I love that we have a great mix of classic silhouettes and innovative vintage styles as well. There’s always something new to explore!
What’s your peak denim moment?
In the 90s, I hand drew thorned roses on the back pockets of my denim shorts –  I definitely went above and beyond.
What’s your denim regret?
I’ve worn a lot of denim flares or bell bottoms that trend in and out, which is questionable. Since I’m on the shorter side, I don’t know if that look works with my proportions.
Why do you think denim keeps coming back?
Denim is timeless, it never goes out of style.

What drew you to fashion?
I always dressed myself as a form of creative expression as a kid. Thankfully, a few adults noticed it and started pointing me towards Japanese fashion magazines and other important style books at the library. I was able to articulate the importance of fashion by the time I was 10….Much to my mother’s dismay!
Who have been some of your style icons over the years?
Sofia Coppola, Lauryn Hill, and Solange
What do you think is timeless about Lucky Brand jeans?
Lucky continues to make great basic jeans, and tries to innovate as well. It’s like an artist who keeps trying to work out an artistic problem in the same genre, over and over again.
What’s your peak denim moment?
In high school! I couldn’t get enough denim: Baggy, pleated, colored, acid wash, tuxedo… I did all of it, every day.
What’s your denim regret?
No regrets, ever – Only great Instagram throwback pictures!
Why do you think denim keeps coming back?
Wait, has denim ever been out?! Denim is the ultimate democratizer in fashion. Everyone can get a pair and make it their own. It’s a blank canvas, so it’s always in style.
